I was looking forward to Melissa's new book and her new characters for a while, so I was really excited to read it. She definitely delivered, and the story moved along very quickly. I was on page two and couldn't wait to finish it!Perioperative Bleeding and Clinical Outcomes After Surgery for Pancreatic Cancer.
The aim of this study was to elucidate the relationship between perioperative bleeding and postoperative outcomes in patients with pancreatic cancer. A prospective observational study included patients who underwent pancreatectomy at the National Cancer Center Hospital East between December 2012 and March 2014. Perioperative bleeding amount was evaluated by considering hemoglobin levels and operation time. A total of 43 patients were enrolled. Median perioperative bleeding amount was 738 mL. There were no patients in whom severe bleeding occurred. Median overall survival was 8.5 months. Multivariate analysis identified ascites (p = 0.003) and high perioperative bleeding (p = 0.019) as independent predictors of poor prognosis. By multivariate analysis, tumor size, neoadjuvant therapy, and high perioperative bleeding were identified as independent prognostic factors for RFS. According to a Kaplan-Meier analysis, perioperative bleeding was associated with RFS (p = 0.013) and OS (p = 0.024). The present study demonstrated that perioperative bleeding is a common event and an independent factor for both RFS and OS. Moreover, perioperative bleeding is related to a high level of perioperative blood transfusion. The Democrats have been reduced to desperate measures in their last ditch attempts to hang onto power. First it was the recent Obama campaign tactics to portray the GOP and President Trump as racists.
This last week the big controversy was over the treatment of the Clemson University football players for refusing to stand for the National Anthem at a recent game. The coach lost his job and was forced to apologize. The women’s coach who encouraged her players to kneel was threatened with losing her job and Clemson University was forced to fire her.
The coach was labeled “racist” because she stood for the Anthem and did not instruct her players to kneel for the Anthem. One can easily see why the black athletes were offended by this. It’s not like black athletes are not the ones who routinely hear about other people of color not standing for the Anthem.
Now, the Democrats are trying to gain traction by claiming ac619d1d87
