There's an easy way to "fix" a corrupt file:
Download a utility that can repair a damaged zip file (e.g. WinRAR, 7Zip, etc.).
Install the utility on your computer.
Launch the zip file you'd like to repair (or open with the one that you installed).
Click on the "Extract" option (if necessary). The utility should now repair the corrupted file for you.
P.S.: Of course, doing so would render the file unusable after this, so there's no guarantee it'll work.
Q:
How do i output from an SSH command to a variable?
So I have a working bash script which i run as sudo. This script runs an SSH command on a server. But the SSH command can take up to 20 minutes. So i want to store the output from the SSH command into a variable so that it can be processed. I know I can store the output into a file and then grep the file but is there a way to do this in a single line?

I think this is what you are looking for.
ssh foo.bar.com 'echo "foo bar" >> temp.txt'
the command will write its output to the file temp.txt
UPDATE
So, to answer your question in the comments:
If you only have one line, it is not possible to store it in a variable. Variable are typically of type string or number. But the command is not string or number.
I see three possible ways to do what you are looking for. I would go with the last be359ba680
