The article presents the problems of development of toxic symptoms in patients with combined injuries and alcohol intoxication. A retrospective analysis of medical histories of 1310 patients presenting to a medical facility after a fall from a height with an associated alcohol poisoning was conducted. The study included 1310 patients (870 men and 440 women) aged 16 to 89 years. The mean number of deaths in women was 1.7, and in men -- 0.8. In 61% of patients there were multiple traumas. Hypothermia and severe intoxication, including unconsciousness, were observed in 90% and 82%, respectively. In 76% of patients, pneumonia was diagnosed. In 73% of the patients with alcohol intoxication without trauma, pneumonia was detected. A change in the microcirculatory status was accompanied by the development of septic shock in all patients. The study demonstrated that combined injuries in the presence of alcohol intoxication may be accompanied by pneumonia./*
